Today’s set of the day comes from the North Carolina Tar Heels. It is a simple but effective set that involves a cross screen into an elevator screen. The 2 man is the shooter that the Tar Heels try to get open for a shot, but this set has other options out of it. A post up for the 3 man has worked in the past with bigger small forwards, but normally this is designed for the 2 guard to cut through elevator doors. If the shot is not open, then 2 can come off a ballscreen from 5 to look to attack and is very effective because that side is empty, forcing the defense to guard the attack, roll and then 4 man which can be an open jump shot.
